Beautiful bright smiles
So we offer our in-office whitenings here. We pretty much bring the patient in, we have their gums covered with certain material, and then we apply the bleaching agent onto the teeth. We do that up to two times, and then the patients, we check the shade of the patient before going into the procedure and then after, and usually, you know, the shade is increased quite a bit. Before patients come in, we check the shade of their teeth. A lot of our patients are unhappy with sort of that yellowish hue that sort of comes in over time or drinking coffee, tea, things that sort of bring those heavy stains. With our whitening agents, we’re able to pretty much remove that yellowish hue, and afterwards we check the shade and patients are very happy with the results of how white their teeth can become in just a short period of time. And the appointment lasts maybe an hour and a half to two so you’ve still got options. The concentration of the bleaching agents are less than what we have in office, as well as those products, over-the-counter products don’t cover your gums. When your gums are exposed to that bleaching agent, it causes quite a bit of sensitivity. With what we do here, it’s very orderly and very uniform. So, we cover the gums with a certain material so that the bleaching agent doesn’t leak onto the gums. And then we just make sure that the teeth are covered in the bleaching agent, and then it usually produces such a great result that over-the-counter doesn’t produce as quickly or as effectively.
